BLEACH 292 REVIEW

the battle commences
This episode sets up the big beat down with Aizen that, if you have read the manga, you know will take a very long time to come to a conclusion.

We start off with Ichigo trying to finish Aizen off with his first attack. Of course Aizen proves this was futile and begins to pick Ichigo apart verbally. Aizen knows how to fight with his words and causes a great deal of self doubt and uncertainty to weaken Ichigo.

Ichigo starts to doubt
Ichigo's claim to fame in this battle was that he was the only person there who has not seen Aizen's Shikai which would put him under Aizen's spell. Which makes me wonder, would Tosen's blindness not have made him also unable to see Aizen's Shikai? Wonder if that is why Aizen made sure to disintegrate him as soon as he was defeated and felt guilt for his actions.
Komamura steps in
Before Ichigo could crumble beneath Aizen's fancy talk Komamura steps in and thanks Ichigo for interrupting his fit of rage which more than likely would have caused his own death at the hand of Aizen.
Captains and Vizoreds

Soon all remaining shinigami and Vizoreds come in to protect Ichigo from Aizen's nasty powers and to settle their own personal scores.
Step back Ichigo
Each character gets a bit of time explaining to Ichigo why it is so important for them to act and why he must sit back and wait for the right moment. Its very heart warming that they all have such respect for Ichigo at this stage. I mean they have all been ripped to shreds, some are missing limbs but are still willing to fight. Unohana is also there to start the healing process.
Toshiro full of rage!

Aizen was taunting Ichigo about his lack of hate for him would prevent his attacks too weak to do him damage or touch him. To me it was just a taunt to freak Ichigo out but he sure gets a lot of hatred from Toshiro who bankai's up and is ready to do some damage (or get damage done to him). How one man can make so many powerful beings so afraid is beyond my comprehension but Aizen is a special case. Captain Commander is still watching from the sidelines and I know his chance is coming up very soon.

I give this episode a 7.5/10

  1. I am glad you are not referring to Aizen as "Captain". Everyone was calling him Captain. I'm saying that he lost that title the minute he betrayed everyone and abandoned his post!

But back to your review, I would like to understand how Aizen got that powerful as well. It just seems unfathomable. I haven't been watching the manga but I will keep following the picture and your reviews.

    Kudos!
