BLEACH 288 REVIEW

After last weeks pathetic filler episode we are back to the action and it was some interesting action.

KENPACHI HAVING FUN

So we return to the battle with Yammy. Kenpachi does all the fighting this episode. He does put up a good fight but it seems like both him and Yammy were just playing around.

Ichigo and Unohana go through the garganta to return to the real world. Rukia, Renji and the others are injured while Byakuya and Mayuri chat.

YAMMY

MAYURI

The main star of this episode is the conversations. Byakuya and Mayuri's conversation is actually very telling. From it we gather both Mayuri and Byakuya do have some respect for Ichigo and believe he is the one to defeat Aizen.

BYAKUYA

Unohana and Ichigo's conversation  is very interesting as well. I consider this to be the most I have actually heard Unohana conversing on the show. I like her alot more for it. She is an interesting person and scary with her niceness. She considers Ichigo the only person left who can fight Aizen since he never saw Aizen's shikai.

Aizen's Shikai completely hypnotizes his opponents so they are at his beck and call. He just has to show you his sword and you are a goner. Ichigo, not having seen his Shikai, makes him immune to its effect. Unohana also learns that Ichigo is operating with half of his soul pressure and at that state is almost on par with a captain level Shinigami. This means at full strength he should be more powerful than any of them . She volunteers to fully heal Ichigo's spiritual pressure as they make their way to the land of the living.

These conversations take up most of the episode while Kenpachi and Yammy battle it out. I find these conversations interesting because they reveal a bit more about characters we may not know too much about.

Next week the battle continues with Yammy who just won't go down and then to the land of the living with Aizen ready to unleash havoc.
