BLEACH 289 REVIEW

MAYURI
This was a very good episode of Bleach. We finally get a fight that has been hinted at for years and it feels good to see all involved get emotional and pull out all the stops.

BYAKUYA
Before we get to the real action we must first visit the Yammy/Byakuya/Kenpachi brawl. Oh what a brawl this is! Yammy is knocked out the fight and Byakuya and Kenpachi decide to fight each other while Mayuri waits for them all to die so he can dissect them. Such a strange man!
YAMMY=YIKES!
Before the Shinigami can clash, Yammy rises from the not so dead and undergoes another transformation. Now he is even larger and even more powerful and I must give Mayuri props for stating what I was thinking. If Yammy gets any bigger he will have a hard time dissecting him. This fight in all its epicness is just for fun and not as serious as the fights we go to next.

AIZEN TAUNTS
Hiyuri has waited a long time to get his revenge on Aizen and Aizen gives him his chance. Aizen is so serious he is even going to draw his sword. I know for a fact Hiyuri doesn't stand a chance but I will look forward to seeing him try.

Next battle is an epic one. We have Tosen vs Hisagi and Komamura. All three are emotionally invested in this battle and the latter two were the most affected by Tosen defecting to lick Aizen a-hole.
HISAGI MAKES A MOVE
Hisagi and Komamura try their best to talk to their former friend and Captain to no avail. Tosen has discarded all care for Shinigami and his old friends and subordinates. We get to see a young Hisagi being given strength through Tosen's words of wisdom only to find Tosen has gone back on all he has said and been in the past.
KOMAMARU
Tosen decides that since Aizen has joined the battle then he must go all out and brings out what I must say is the coolest looking hollowification I have seen.
TOSEN ALL HOLLOWED OUT
This increases his strength and speed and he seriously does a number on his two opponents, especially Hisagi who doesn't even have a Bankai so is greatly out classed in this fight. Hisagi seems hellbent in trying to get to Tosen's heart but it is obvious Tosen was just spewing bullshit in the past and seriously was never someone to look up to. Damn his hollow form is damn good though!
KOMAMURA'S BANKAI
Hisagi takes an almost fatal sword to the gut and now it is Komamura's turn to take on his former friend and he goes all out summoning his Bankai: Kokujo Tengen Myo.

Next week we can look forward to this fight continuing and seeing  more of what Tosen is capable of in his new form.

Rating 8/10
